THE « FAKR » PROJECT |

The early drafts of the “HOMU” project (2004) demonstrated the interest for deeper studies about sufi performances & heterodoxy, in the widen scope of the turkish & persian speaking area. Three volumes of “La Ruine dans la Taverne” (2008-2011) embody this extensive study, which is finally an inventory of the main heresiac trends.
From late 2010, previous investigations and newly released sources in Iran made possible a report about today’s situation of the heterodox in the country, now available as a 2 volume papers: “Les fakirs Khāksārs « Voie courte » contemporaine en Iran” .

“La Ruine dans la taverne”, vol. 1-3 The gap between the prominent clichés of the turkish-persian qalandar and the reality of Sufism in today’s Middle East inspired a three volumes study, namely: “La Ruine dans la Taverne” (2008-2011) , echoeing the earlier “taverne de la Ruine” concept by HAFEZ SHIRAZI, and then the essay “Dans la Taverne de la Ruine” by Dr Javad NURBAKHSH, the former qutb of the nimatullahi. Volume 3 possibly subject to more further developpements still. |
